Man arrested after calling hospital about missing cocaine

A man got himself arrested in Long Island after he called a medical facility asking if he'd left his cocaine somewhere in the building.

Joe Espinosa got to his house after spending time at the medical facility. Police say the man got home, couldn't find his drugs anywhere, and rang up the hospital.

When speaking to a staff member he actually gave a description of what was missing. Shortly after an employee found the drugs, and decided to call police.

Authorities arrived at the hospital to make sure it was actually cocaine, once confirmed, they arrested Espinosa at his house. The man is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree. His court hearing is Friday April 16th.
