Here are some warning signs to spot dementia early: medical report

We all forget things every now and then.

Maybe we misplace the car keys or have trouble thinking of the name of a sports figure. In most instances, this is normal, but how can you tell if a memory problem is a warning sign of something far more serious?

First, there is no simple test for dementia, no blood pressure cuff reading or lab sample. Some signs can be obvious, such as repeating thoughts in the same conversation or forgetting how to perform common tasks, such as tying one’s shoes.

Other warning signs can show up as shifts in personality and mood.
