Bill Clinton hospitalized with infection, 'on the mend': report

Bill Clinton has been hospitalized in California for a health issue not related to COVID-19, according to a report.

Sources told CNN the former president has been hospitalized for a case of sepsis resulting from a currently unidentified illness. He was reportedly admitted Tuesday to the ICU at UC Irvine while on tour in California for an event related to his foundation.

The former president is being treated with antibiotics and is responding well to the treatment, the network said.

Clinton, who underwent quadruple bypass surgery in 2004, has been hospitalized at least three times following the end of his time in the White House. Following placement of stents in his heart a decade ago, Clinton became a vegan.
