Trump offers UFC's Dana White press secretary job

Audacy News: Trump says he's not considering replacing Hegseth

Dana White, CEO of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, could be the next White House press secretary, President Donald Trump revealed in a Saturday Truth Social post.

“I am pleased to announce that the Great Dana White, a violent Fighter and Warrior, has been offered the job of Press Secretary of the United States,” Trump said. “I have requested that he bring with him assistants, even though some are not from our Country, of Islam Makhachev, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Justin Gaethje, Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes, and Kayla Harris. We need these people to defend us against the Lunatic Left. Dana will be a Press Secretary like none other. Dana, please take the job!”

White previously teamed up with the Trump administration to put up a massive UFC ring on the White House lawn for 250th anniversary celebrations this summer. He’s the public face of the popular UFC mixed martial arts competition franchise and promotions company and started out as a boxer himself, according to Britannica.

Karoline Leavitt previously served as press secretary for most of Trump’s second term. His second press secretary, Katie Zacharia, left after not even a week following a much-criticized first press conference and controversy over marketing herself as a lawyer despite having not passed the bar exam.

Trump has tapped the world of fighting entertainment for positions in his administration before. Secretary of Education Linda McMahon co-founded Titan Sports, Inc. (now WWE, Inc.) with her husband, Vince McMahon and went on to serve as president and later CEO until 2009.
