Just in time to celebrate the St. Patrick's Day holiday, McDonald's is bringing back its iconic mint-flavored Shamrock Shake.
When can customers purchase the minty green milkshake?

McDonald’s released an announcement in a press release that confirmed that the milkshake would be available on February 21. Customers can also purchase the Oreo Shamrock McFlurry.
The sweet treat will be available at restaurants across the United States, but only for a limited time. Prices may vary at specific locations.

The fast-food chain also released the official color code of the “unmistakable minty-green hue,” #cbf2ac. McDonald’s noted that many have had green manicures or used other green to celebrate the dessert across social media.
The Shamrock Shake consists of vanilla soft serve ice cream mixed with mint flavors while finished with whipped cream. The Oreo Shamrock McFlurry, introduced in 2020, contains mint and Oreo cookie pieces and vanilla soft serve ice cream.
In 2021, the milkshake returned to restaurants on February 15.
The Shamrock Shake started as a local treat in 1967 at a Connecticut McDonald’s but hit the fast-food chain’s menu nationwide in 1970.
In 1974, sales from the shake were used to help build the very first Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia. At the time, the daughter of an Eagles player was undergoing leukemia treatments.
