Pasadena, CA resident Deedee Mueller awoke to an insane surprise Saturday.
She was relaxing at home with her kitchen and dining room doors open, when her dog, Mei Mei started barking and then ran off. Her other dog, a terrier named Squirt, followed right behind her.
“Based on the barks, I knew something was up,” Mueller told the OC Register.
Mueller posted a video on her Facebook page showing video from her Nest camera of an enormous bear walking across her deck, down the stairs, and then right into her kitchen.

The bear is seen moving cautiously sniffing around, obviously curious and looking for food.
The next thing the video shows is Mueller’s two small dogs running into the kitchen, barking and chasing the bear back out to the deck and out off her property.
“Thank god we have these two fierce dogs protecting us,” Mueller wrote on Facebook with a laughing emoji.

She told the Register the dogs chased the bear again in another part of her yard, and although they seemed fearless, she was terrified for them.
