Whether it was Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa or Mac Jones throwing him the ball, Jerry Jeudy was a beast during the entirety of his career at Alabama.
In three seasons playing for Nick Saban, Jeudy hauled in 159 passes for 2,742 yards and 26 touchdowns. His finest individual season came in his sophomore season of 2018, when he caught 68 passes for 1,315 yards and 14 touchdowns, while averaging 19.3 yards per reception. That season, he won the Fred Beletnikoff Award as the nation's top wide receiver.
Now, he's expected to make an immediate impact after being selected by the Denver Broncos with the 15th overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Here's everything you need to know about Jeudy, arguably the best wide receiving prospect in this year's draft class:
Measurables: 6'1, 193 pounds
School: Alabama
2019 Stats: 77 catches...1,163 yards...10 touchdowns
Accolades: 2018 First-Team All-SEC...2018 consensus All-American...2018 Fred Biletnikoff Award recipient...2019 First-Team All-Sec
Strengths: NFL.com's Lance Zierlein compares Jeudy to former Super Bowl MVP Santonio Holmes, saying that he "mixes tight, crisp route-running with impressive top-end speed to keep secondaries on eggshells throughout the game."
Weaknesses: Joe Marino of The Draft Network cites some minor concerns about Jeudy dropping the ball and using his body - rather than his hands - to catch the ball at times. Still, Marino rated Jeudy as the No. 9 overall prospect at any position in this year's NFL Draft class, so it's not as though he's not high on the player.
Player Comparison: Amari Cooper
Though he's about 15 pounds lighter than Cooper, there are a lot of similarities in pre-draft scouting reports on the two. Both went to Alabama, both are 6'1 and both ran 4.4 40-yard dashes. Scouts actually seem much higher on Jeudy as a route-runner than they did when Cooper was selected in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft.
