And you can count Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Alice Cooper among those who are eagerly awaiting news of Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers' next move, amid longstanding rumors that he could be on his way out of Green Bay.

The legendary rocker shared his thoughts in a recent interview on Rodgers and the potential domino effect it could have on another prominent quarterback -- the Browns' Baker Mayfield, with whom Cooper stars in a commercial for Progressive insurance.

“I think [Rodgers] is going to go to Denver, and I think Mayfield is going to come to Green Bay. That’s my prediction,” Cooper recently told Kendra Meinert of the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “Mayfield’s a great quarterback. He would be very good for that team.”

While Cooper's prediction for Mayfield seems a little more far-fetched, he may be onto something with respect to Rodgers, after a report surfaced late on Friday indicating that the Broncos were among Rodgers' three preferred trade destinations.

Cooper, 74, is a Detroit native and "diehard" Lions fan, according to a Detroit Free Press story from last year, but he apparently hit it off with Mayfield during the filming of their commercial, so perhaps he has some inside information on Mayfield's fate.

Mayfield, the 2018 No. 1 overall draft pick, struggled with injury and ineffectiveness in 2021 after something a breakout the prior year, prompting rumors about whether Cleveland would look to move on.

But the Browns exercised Mayfield's fifth-year option last spring, and the Lions have a high-priced veteran QB of their own in Jared Goff, whom they acquired last offseason in the deal that sent Matthew Stafford to the Los Angeles Rams.

Cooper meanwhile is a noted sports fan, having performed at several events over the years, including a Clippers-Suns playoff game last season, as well as serving as grand marshal at the Fiesta Bowl in December.
