You want to watch a Red Sox game with a bunch of raucous fans but can’t get a ticket? No ticket, no problem. There are plenty of bars around Fenway Park where Bostonians gather to root for the home team together. Here are some of the best options:

Champions Boston

There is no need to worry about finding a seat with a view of the Red Sox game at Champions because there are almost too many TVs, if such a thing is even possible at a sports bar. Whether you’re sitting at the spacious circular bar or your own table, you can watch the game on one if its dozens of enormous HDTVs. Champions is located in the second-floor lobby of the Marriott Copley Place and has a menu loaded with the perfect ballpark food to complement with a Red Sox game. They serve a selection of nachos, wings, soft pretzels, hot dogs and its pièce de résistance, the Champions Sampler Tower. This monster includes two pounds of wings, eight cheeseburger sliders, a stack of onion rings and cheese fries with “table reinforcements included.” That is sure to sustain any fan through a three-hour game.

McGreevy’s

Known as “America’s First Sports Bar,” McGreevy’s is a Boston institution forever connected to the Red Sox and to baseball fans in Boston. The bar opened by "Nuf Ced" McGreevy (you might know him from the song “Tessie,” revived by the Dropkick Murphys) in 1894 as the 3rd Base Saloon and is considered by many be the “birthplace of Red Sox Nation.” Its bar menu includes a wide variety of beer, Irish whiskey, scotch, bourbon, wine and cocktails, such as the Rose Tattoo and the Whiskey Smash. McGreevy’s even counted and the bar is a mere 1,200 steps from the ballpark. To watch a Red Sox game at McGreevy’s is to be almost as much a part of the team’s history as watching it at Fenway.
