A prescient Browns fan has gone viral for a funny tweet anticipating the signing of star pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney.
On Tuesday, the user behind a low-follower Twitter account, a self-described university student in Ohio, pledged to chug not one but two beers for every "like" his post garnered if the Browns ended up landing Clowney.
Sure enough, by Wednesday night, the Browns had their man on a reported one-year deal worth up to as much as $10M -- and the fan's post had soared past 20,000 likes.
The user, who goes by the handle @kevenledenican, followed up in response to the signing, saying he was at work and he'd "start drinking" once he was off the clock.
Of course, no viral moment is complete without someone trying to make money off it. A GoFundMe page was set up on Wednesday -- presumably in jest? -- to help the fan cover the cost of the beer.
Clowney, 28, joins his fourth team in as many years following one-year stints with the Titans and Seahawks. He previously played with the Houston Texans, who drafted him first overall in 2014.
The Clowney signing came after a lengthy courtship, which long had Browns fans salivating at the prospect of adding another stud pass-rusher to complement Myles Garrett.
Please enjoy him responsibly, Browns fans.
