The Indianapolis Colts placed three players on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday, including quarterback Carson Wentz.
Earlier this season, Wentz declined to say whether he is vaccinated and was wearing a mask when speaking to vaccinated reporters.
A player who is placed on the COVID-19 list as close contact must miss five days; only an unvaccinated player can be designated as close contact. A player who tests positive could miss up to 10 days, depending on vaccination status. It is unclear whether Wentz tested positive or is a close contact of someone who has it.

Wentz was supposed to return to practice on Monday after missing significant time in training camp due to foot surgery. Wentz has not participated in 11-on-11 drills since July 29. He appeared on track to play in Week One against Seattle after going through 7-on-7 drills in practice last week
