The Arizona Cardinals are living up to their bird moniker.
Superstar wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins turned heads for something other than his superlative on-field exploits on Sunday -- when he seemed to flip off a caravan of President Trump supporters.
A Twitter user on Sunday posted what appeared to be a photo of the three-time All-Pro driving a black Ferrari convertible with both arms raised in the air -- and each hand extending the one-finger salute.
The tweet -- from a 11-year-old account with only a few dozen followers as of Monday -- accused Hopkins of weaving through the caravan and "trying to cause an accident."
The apparent incident came at around 1:30 p.m. local time on Sunday, shortly after a Trump rally in the Phoenix area, the Arizona Republic reported.
The Cardinals hosted the Seahawks on Sunday, handing Seattle its first loss in an overtime thriller.
Hopkins hauled in 10 passes for 103 yards and a touchdown. He led the league in catches and yards after Sunday's action.
The 28-year-old Clemson product has been an outspoken advocate in calls for racial justice and an end to police brutality amid nationwide protests.
Hopkins is in his first season with Arizona after his seven-year run of brilliance with the Houston Texans ended with a trade after months of contract negotiations.
The incident conjured memories of a similar scene from 2017 in which a photo of a cyclist flipping off the president's motorcade went viral. The cyclist, Juli Briskman, was fired from her job over the stunt but was later elected to local office in Loudon County, Virginia.
