If social media is an indication of things, then it appears Deebo Samuel and the 49ers are making some progress in their relationship.

The 49ers wide receiver is apparently following the team’s official Instagram account again after previously unfollowing them and removing all references to the team from his social media.

He also liked an Instagram post about John Lynch’s comments that the issues between the 49ers and Samuel can be worked out, according to ProFootballTalk.

Samuel, who is entering the final year of his rookie deal, is looking for a contract extension after seeing other receivers, such as Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs and now, most recently, A.J. Brown, score big deals this offseason.

Brown received his deal via trade, a move that many thought was coming with Samuel after he reportedly requested a trade and asked the Niners not to offer him an extension.

Yet, Samuel was not traded during the draft and now, if social media activity is to be believed, there appears to be some progress being made.

Whether or not that means an extension will be reached remains to be seen, but it certainly seems like a different tune is being sung now than prior to the draft.
