The Chicago Bears are starting to see signs of what their offense can become.

Though it didn’t result in a win until Thursday night, the Bears offense, namely the connection between Justin Fields and DJ Moore, has become increasingly dangerous.

The 40-20 win over the Commanders on Thursday was the peak, with Moore going off for three touchdowns on 230 yards receiving. He likely would have had a fourth score had a dubious out of bounds ruling on the wideout in the third quarter gone the other way.

For Fields, it's a positive moment amid what's been a tumultuous stretch for the young quarterback, who started 12 of the Bears' 14 straight losses entering Thursday. But Moore told the Mully & Haugh Show on Friday morning that such a performance will help Fields' confidence.

“It definitely boosts his confidence. At the end of the day, everything in football is about being confident and being yourself and going out there with the flow of the game," Moore said. "Once the game comes to you, you’re in your zone and then you can play free and play the way you want to. Then whatever you think you may have messed up, you can get coached later. After that, either you get a win or you don’t."

Getting Moore going has been pivotal for the Bears. After getting treated like an afterthought in Week 1, Moore has seen his targets increase, and it’s paying off. The last two games alone, Moore has caught 16 of his 19 targets for 361 yards and four touchdowns.

The wideout has an idea as to why his connection with Fields keeps getting stronger.

“(It’s) his willingness to just want to be better from the weeks previous,” Moore said. “Just going out there and laying it on the line for everybody on the offense and on the defense. It flows through the team and that’s how we get a win, and that’s how we’re going to keep trying to get a win.”
