Flowers, a two-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots, adds depth to Miami’s pass rush, which consists of Jaelan Phillips and Melvin Ingram in the front seven.

Flowers was a fourth-round pick of the Patriots in 2015 and was a force with New England as he was used as a defensive end/outside linebacker, logging at least 6.5 sacks in three of his four season with the Patriots.

He signed a five-year $90 million deal with the Detroit Lions in 2019 but was cut by the team following a less-than-stellar 2021 season in which he played just seven games and recorded 24 tackles with just 1.5 sacks.
