Another mainstay of the Philadelphia Eagles is calling it a career.

Fletcher Cox announced his retirement in a post on his Instagram Sunday morning, officially ending his career after spending all 12 of his NFL seasons with the Eagles.

The 33-year-old defensive tackle’s retirement comes less than a week after fellow Eagles great Jason Kelce announced his retirement in a press conference on Wednesday.

Cox, a first-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, was a six-time Pro Bowler and First-Team All-Pro in 2018. He was an integral part of the Eagles’ 2017 Super Bowl champion defense and finishes his career with 70 sacks, 173 QB hits, 16 forced fumbles, 14 fumble recoveries and three defensive touchdowns.

With Cox joining Kelce in retirement, the Eagles must now look to replace two cornerstone pieces of the franchise on both the offensive and defensive sides of the team.
