Atlanta Braves star Freddie Freeman appeared to have a touching moment with his family from the dugout during batting practice of Game 3 of the NLDS in Houston on Thursday, but sometimes things are not what they seem.
Freeman was standing atop the dugout blowing kisses and waving air hugs toward the suite level where his wife, Chelsea, and young son, Charlie were thought to be sitting.
The Braves Twitter account shared the clip and fans thought it was adorable.
Only problem was that Freeman was not actually waving and blowing kisses at his family.
Instead, Freeman was messing around with his former teammates, A.J. Pierzynski, who was on the call in the booth for Fox Sports.
Chelsea shared a screenshot of the text message she received from her husband explaining what he was doing.
Freeman and Pierzynski played together in Atlanta in 2015 and 2016, and clearly he missed his old teammate a lot.
Freeman made sure to get his family back though when he was in the on-deck circle during the game.
