Top fantasy football waiver wire pickups for Week 10

By Jordan Cohn, Audacy Sports

As usual, all players are owned in fewer than 50% of leagues. Check out last week's edition for some names who are still relevant in your waiver wire search, including Jordan Howard, Brandon Aiyuk and Tyler Conklin. All stats and info retrieved from Fantasy Pros.

Brandon Bolden and Rhamondre Stevenson | New England Patriots, RBs

This one depends on the injury status of not only Stevenson, who left the Patriots' Week 9 matchup with a head injury after collecting 106 total yards, but also Damien Harris, who left with a head injury as well. The backfield's status for Week 10 may not be available by the time you need to submit your waiver claims, so keep close attention. If Harris can't go and Stevenson can, your priority should be...

If Stevenson is also out, Bolden might be in for a big, big workload against the Browns defense in Week 10.

The good thing is that there seems to be a lot of ball to go around, as all three of them received a good amount of touches in Week 9. If just two are active, both could be playable fantasy assets, especially with four teams on bye and the general injury devastation at the position.

Ty Johnson | New York Jets, RB

In half-PPR formats, Johnson's last four games have resulted in him scoring 10.4, 10.1, 17.1 and 11.1 points. That's like... good? Really good, especially for a widely available running back who seems to have a sturdy floor in terms of his role in the offense.

The problem is that the Jets are playing against the Bills next week, though perhaps that means he'll be in the game more as the primary receiving option over Carter. With 16 targets over the past three weeks, it looks like the backups like sending the ball his way with little dump-offs, and those are perfectly fine for fantasy football purposes.

Elijah Moore

Another New York Jet?! You better believe it.

Will Moore have two touchdowns every week? No... especially considering those were his first two receiving TDs of the whole season. But seeing as he's had six, six and seven targets in his past three games, it seems like he's firmly established himself in this offense. The eventual return of Corey Davis will take away from Moore's ceiling, but some juicy matchups await (Dolphins twice, Texans, Jaguars) and Moore could continue to gain chemistry with Mike White... or Josh Johnson... or Zach Wilson... or whoever ends up back there down the stretch.

Donovan Peoples-Jones

Donovan Peoples-Jones | Cleveland Browns, WR

Yahoo: 13% owned | ESPN: 5% owned

With OBJ officially out of town, Peoples-Jones is now a starter and was the best receiver for the Browns in Week 9, though one 60-yard touchdown pretty much defined his whole day. Still, he could be the Rashard Higgins — who had a nice stretch late in the season last year — of 2021, finding his groove with Baker Mayfield as the year progresses.

Jarvis Landry led the team in targets (5), but no one on the team outside of Peoples-Jones, who had 86 yards, surpassed the 30-yard mark. If Peoples-Jones can become one of Mayfield's favorite targets, he could turn into a solid option going forward.

Pat Freiermuth

It seemed like this was a good week to play Freiermuth if you need a streaming option, seeing as Big Ben had targeted his rookie tight end seven times in both Week 7 and Week 8. In Week 9, though his target count decreased by one, his production went up in a big way — five catches, 43 yards and two touchdowns.

In the past four weeks, he's been a top-10 tight end in fantasy football, even with a bye week in that period, and it looks like he's gaining the trust of Roethlisberger and living up to his second-round value.
