Joey Chestnut says it 'would be awesome' to compete against Tom Brady in eating contest

Tom Brady is known for having a very regimented diet, but maybe when he’s done playing football he could let loose and do a little competitive eating.

On the eve of the July 4 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest, Joey Chestnut — who is essentially the Tom Brady in the competitive food eating world — welcomed the idea of going toe-to-toe with the seven-time Super Bowl champion in a food of the quarterback’s choice.

“I don’t know what he could out-eat me at,” Chestnut told TMZ Sports. “He’s so healthy. You know he doesn’t eat tomatoes? I love tomatoes. He’s awesome. It would be awesome to eat against him in any food.”

Of course, avocado ice cream is a favorite of Brady’s, although it may not make for the best competitive eating food. Nevertheless, Chestnut has had it before.

“I’ve had avocado ice cream. It’s not the best,” he said. “Better than other weird ice creams, like garlic ice cream.”

While competitive eating does not sound like it’s something Brady would necessarily do, we’ll still be patiently waiting to see if he has any reaction to Chestnut’s comments on Twitter.
