The LSU football program is keeping receipts on its critics.

The Tigers scored a defining win under first-year head coach Brian Kelly against rival Alabama on Saturday night, and promptly marked the occasion to throw some shade at the doubters.

Specifically, the team's social media channels made a point to spike the proverbial football on ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, who turned heads with some harsh words for Kelly last month.

"What a night with our LSU FAMILY on Saturday night," LSU Football said in a tweet. "We're pretty fond of what's happening in Baton Rouge."

The tweet included a video of Smith claiming that he's "not hearing anything good about Brian Kelly," and that the players, administration, fans and town aren't "fond" of him.

The huge win put the Tigers in position to win the SEC West if they can win out, with their three remaining games all looking winnable on paper -- against Arkansas, UAB and Texas A&M.

Kelly's hiring was somewhat controversial, and things got off to a rocky start after a season-opening loss to Florida State. But the Tigers have since gone 7-1, including wins over two teams ranked in the top 10.

That will go a long way toward quieting some of the doubters, and an appearance in the SEC title game -- and potentially the College Football Playoff -- will help even more.
