A Houston Astros World Series win this season would make betting history. And it would come courtesy of a bet from none other than Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale. Mattress Mack, the Houston-area furniture mogul, placed a $2 million bet on the Astros betting odds to win the World Series with the potential for a record-breaking pay out.

The multi-million-dollar bet by Mattress Mack on Houston’s 10-1 odds, placed on Caesars Entertainment’s William Hill Indiana Sportsbook App, would result in a $22 million pay out should the Astros win it all in October.

“It’s very cool that William Hill took that large of a futures bet,” Mattress Mack said in a press release. “Kudos for Caesars for stepping up and taking a big bet on the William Hill Sportsbook App. I’ve done a lot of bets with William Hill, and they’ve always been great to me. The execution has always been great.”

“This is a potentially historic bet, and it’s one that we love to take,” Eric Hession, Co-President of Sports for Caesars Entertainment, also said in the press release.  “We pride ourselves on our flexible limits in our sportsbooks and sports betting apps. This wager certainly makes the baseball season a little more exciting for us, and we’re looking forward to seeing how that plays out.”

Houston’s +1000 odds to win the World Series are behind the Los Angeles Dodgers (+360), the Chicago White Sox (+700), the San Diego Padres (+850), and the New York Mets (+850).
