The Tennessee Titans have become a major problem for the NFL.
The team is at risk of forfeiting this week’s game against the Bills as players continue to test positive for COVID-19, and now the league is investigating multiple unauthorized workouts involving Titans players, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
It was reported on Wednesday that a group of Titans players held a private workout at a Nashville high school on Sept. 30 – the day after the team facilities were shut down due to a positive test.
These workouts are a violation of the league’s safety protocols in place for coronavirus and the league will likely discipline the team, or players involved in the workouts, but it is uncertain to what extent.
The Titans may already be punished with a forfeit on Sunday, although there are talks they could try and move the game to Monday or Tuesday night. The NFL has issued multiple warnings to teams throughout the season to adhere to the strict guidelines in place, threatening fines and loss of draft picks.
The Titans facility remains closed with no determined date to reopen yet.
