The NHL responded to the clip of official Tim Peel on a hot mic claiming that he was looking to call a penalty on the Nashville Predators, removing Peel from working any games in the future.
Here is a video of the questionable penalty call -- a tripping penalty on Viktor Arvidsson on Detroit’s Jon Merrill -- and the a hot mic picking up Peel admitting to looking for a penalty on the Predators.
Nashville went on to win 2-0.
