Another week, another Raider committing a dirty play.
Raiders offensive lineman Richie Incognito inexplicably shoved Chicago Bears defensive back Buster Skrine’s face into the ground after the play was over.
Incognito was flagged for a 15-yard unnecessary roughness penalty, which cost the Raiders, taking them out of field goal range and forcing them to punt.
It was the second straight week a player on the Raiders was penalized for a dirty play involving the opponent’s head.
Last week, Raiders linebacker Vontaze Burfict was ejected after targeting Indianapolis Colts tight end Jack Doyle with his helmet in a helmet-to-helmet hit.
The NFL suspended Burfict for the remainder of the season over the hit.
Both Incognito and Burfict were somewhat controversial signings made by the Raiders this past offseason due to their prior history.
While Burfict has a reputation for dirty hits, Incognito has had problems on and off the field and was suspended the first two games of this season due to previous incidents off the field over the past year.
Those incidents included throwing a weight at a stranger in a workout facility and threatening to shoot up a funeral home after the death of his father.
