Urban Meyer has spent most of his week apologizing for his actions at an Ohio bar from over the weekend and on Thursday, his wife, Shelley, broke her silence.
Shelley posted a statement on her Twitter account, which she says she will delete, semi-addressed the controversial video of her husband but also served as a thank you to her followers.

“This will be my last post on Twitter,” she wrote with a sad face emoji. “Frankly, I don’t need the hate, vitriol, slander, trash that will @ me (this has never stopped anyway).
“We all make mistakes-we are all sinners. If you think you aren’t? Then cast the first stone.”
Shelley’s comments are the latest chapter in the fallout from the video over the weekend that showed a young woman getting quite comfortable with her husband as he sat on a barstool and embraced the company.
Meyer has repeatedly apologized for his actions — both publicly and to the team — while Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan publicly reprimanded the head coach.
The video surfaced after Meyer’s team had lost on Thursday Night Football to the Cincinnati Bengals to fall to 0-4 on the season. He decided to stay back in Columbus, where he has family and friends is a renown figure for his accomplishments at Ohio State.
While Meyer was at the bar, Shelley had tweeted how she was babysitting their grandchildren.
Shelley closed her statement on Thursday by thanking her followers.
“To my wonderful followers/friends: THANK YOU. For your love, support, friendship, laughs – I will miss this the most,” she wrote. “I love you ALL and wish God’s blessings on you. Thank you. … PS I will be deleting right as I post this so I will not see responses. Much love!”
