Anthony Edwards absolutely posterized a defender in one of the better in-game dunks you'll see

Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards added another vicious slam dunk to his rookie highlight reel on Friday night.

The top overall pick in last year's draft threw down a must-see one-handed jam over Toronto Raptors forward Yuta Watanabe in the final seconds of the third quarter in Minnesota.

The play unfolded when the 19-year-old rookie shook his defender from behind the arc, in the corner. After taking off along the baseline, he rose up -- from outside the paint -- and slammed it home with his right hand, well out of the reach of a leaping Watanabe.

Edwards was fouled by Watanabe on the play, and converted the free throw for a three-point play.

The electrifying dunk stood out in an otherwise underwhelming night for Edwards, who finished with 7 points after shooting 3-of-14 from the floor.

The former Georgia Bulldogs standout, listed at 6-foot-5 and 225 pounds, has had mixed results early in his career, which isn't surprising given that he doesn't turn 20 until August.

Through 11 games in February, Edwards is averaging 16 points per game in 33 minutes.
