PSPCA Lonely Hearts Club Adoption Event

350 E Erie Ave Philadelphia, PA 19134
To celebrate the special time of year when love reigns supreme, the Pennsylvania SPCA will host an adoption event featuring its long-term residents, appropriately entitled “The Lonely Hearts Club,” this Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 12-6:30pm, 350 East Erie Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19134.
Thanks to our partners Freshpet, all long-term resident dog adoption fees, for dogs who have been at the shelter for longer than a year, will be waived during the event. Freshpet has long been dedicated to helping the most vulnerable animals find their forever homes, only adding to their commitment through this event.
The event will feature several dogs and cats that have been in the PSPCA's care for at least a year or those that most urgently need to leave the shelter.
Many of these dogs simply don't "show well," whether they're shy in the kennel, are jumpy or barky, or have given up hope and won't greet passersby. However, we haven’t given up on them, and they are all adored by staff and volunteers who've had the opportunity to see them outside the shelter environment.
The event will include the PSPCA Behavior team to answer potential adopters' questions. Ample staff and volunteers will also be on-site to share stories about the animals they love so much.
