(RICHMOND, Va.) -- The Richmond Police Department has arrested a man who traveled from Newport News to Richmond in an attempt to have sex with who he thought was a 10-year-old girl.
46-year-old Peter Garbo of Newport News was arrested in Richmond last Friday, March 6. He has been charged with seven felony offenses of solicitation of a minor using an electronic communication system.
RPD detectives and the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force conducted an undercover operation, with assistance from the Newport News Police Department. No child was ever in danger.
