Over 33,000 homes, businesses without power due to winter storm

Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - A winter storm warning continues into Tuesday morning for much of Central Virginia, and the storm has led to power outages in some areas.

As of 10:30 a.m. on Monday, over 33,000 homes and businesses throughout the state were without power due to the storm.


The following cities and counties in Central Virginia are currently experiencing power outages, according to Dominion Energy:

• Richmond: 2,243 homes and businesses without power
• Henrico County: 12,070 homes and businesses without power
• Hanover County: 695 homes and businesses without power
• Chesterfield County: 9,771 homes and businesses without power
• Goochland County: 4,017 homes and businesses without power
• Powhatan County: 3,083 homes and businesses without power
• Buckingham County: 1,207 homes and businesses without power
• Amelia County: 881 homes and businesses without power
