(CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va.) -- Chesterfield County Police continue to investigate a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred in the 6300 block of Jeff Davis Highway at about 8:30 p.m. on Sunday night.
Police say a Kia Optima was traveling south on Jeff Davis Highway when it struck 53 year old Ricardo Otero-Garcia, who was attempting to cross the road. Otero-Garcia, of the 6300 block of Jeff Davis Highway, was transported to an area hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.
The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene.
Police continue their investigation into this crash.
