Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Governor Ralph Northam, with cases increasing in eastern Virginia, this afternoon announced new restrictions for Hampton Roads.  The restrictions ban alcohol consumption in restaurants after 10pm, and requires them to close at midnight, effectively closing all bars.  Social gatherings are also limited to 50 people.

Northam did offer a glimmer of hopeful news, however.  Northam points out that the other regions of the state are seeing cases stabilize.  However, Northam says he continues to monitor all regions.

The Governor did meet with the U-S' Coronavirus Coordinator, Dr. Deborah Birx, prior to the Hampton Roads announcement.
