(Richmond, Va. ) - In a series of tweets, Richmond Police are responding to claims from Councilwoman Kim Gray that there was no response to a protest outside her home. Police say officers were dispatched, and that they were watching for illegal activity.
Police also say the protest only lasted 15 minutes, and that they were in communication with Gray throughout. Gray is a candidate for Mayor this fall.
Protestors are targeting Gray because they say she has misrepresented them, and has not acted on their demands. Gray claims the protestors were armed.
