Alleged Attack On Henrico Protesters

Henrico County, VA _  Henrico Police have arrested and charged a Hanover man with trying to run down a group of protesters in Lakeside.

Police say at around 5:45 p.m. Sunday County Police received a call from the Richmond Police Department in reference to an incident that occurred during the protest walk on Lakeside Avenue near Vale Street. The adult victim had stopped to report the incident in the City near the AP Hill Monument.

Several witnesses reported that a truck revved their engine and drove through the protesters occupying the roadway. The driver of the vehicle, Harry H. Rogers, age 36, of Hanover County was arrested. He was charged with assault and battery. The victim was checked by rescue at the scene and refused any further treatment.
