The Left Wing Idiocy Of Boston's Mayor

Democratic Boston Mayor Marty Walsh has said he is in favor of removing a statue of Abraham Lincoln that has stood in the city for more than 100 years, Breitbart News reports. However, he has opposed the idea of renaming the city's Faneuil Hall, named after a slave owner and built on the site of an old slave market.

Left-wing protesters have called for the statue to be removed because they find the depiction of a freed slave in the sculpture to be offensive. The statue has stood in Boston's Park Square since 1879 and is actually a replica of an original statue that was built using funds donated by freed slaves.

Walsh's office is now saying that he is in favor of removing the statue of the Great Emancipator and replacing it with something "that recognizes equality," according to the Boston Globe.

On the other hand, the seemingly woke Walsh is staunchly opposed to renaming Faneuil Hall, a tourist hotspot in downtown Boston. Following calls to rename the building - often referred to as the Cradle of Liberty - Walsh released a statement last week that said, "The Mayor is always open to having a conversation, but he remains opposed to changing the name of Faneuil Hall."
