In the midst of a public health crisis, Gov. Ralph Northam's focus is pointed at taking away your guns.
Northam signed several gun control measures on Friday, including one that will reestablish the one handgun per month law.
Another piece of legislation institutes a "red flag" law, which allows law enforcement to confiscate weapons from an individual if that person is deemed to be a threat to themselves or others.
Northam also signed a bill that will require universal background checks on all gun sales in Virginia and another one that increases the penalty for leaving guns in a place where children can easily access them.
The governor added that he would continue to push for an "assault weapons" ban as well.
