Hundreds of healthcare workers gathered across the country this weekend as part of the White Coats for Black Lives movement, joining the protests over the death of George Floyd.
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a White Coats for Black Lives protest was organized outside of Emory University Hospital on Friday as healthcare workers kneeled for eight minutes and 46 seconds - the same amount of time Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin kept his knee on Floyd's neck.
The Kansas City Star reported a group of around 150 doctors gathering at Hospital Hill Park on Saturday. The outlet also said that protesters "urged the white members of the crowd to reflect internally and ensure they were not harming people of color."
