Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Richmond Police have charged a 14-year old for the death of a 13-year old, reportedly a relative, earlier this month on Stockton Street. The 14-year old, who is not named, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, reckless handling of a firearm, discharge of a firearm within an occupied dwelling, grand larceny (firearm) and underage possession of a firearm.
Police say at approximately 9:54 p.m., Friday, March 10, officers were called to the 1600 block of Stockton Street for the report of a person down. Officers arrived and located the 13-year-old male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 14-year old is in custody, however, it is in another jurisdiction on unrelated charges. A memorial for the 13-year old, Marquan Mitchell-Nash, took place last night.
