Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The 2024 Allianz Partners Richmond Marathon is taking place this Saturday, Nov. 16, and event organizers say the event has broken its all-time participation record.
Across all three races combined, the marathon will have nearly 21,000 runners this year. The previous record was 20,586 in 2014. The full marathon and half marathon are both sold out, hitting their caps of 6,200 and 10,000 runners respectively.
The full marathon begins at 7 a.m. on Saturday, and there will be a number of no parking-zones and street closures in effect. Towing will be enforced in some areas. Click here for a full list of closures.
