Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Late Thursday night, a jury found the suspect in the shooting of two George Wythe High School students last April guilty of four of five charges.
David Gutierrez was found guilty of unlawful wounding of one victim, malicious wounding of the other victim, using a firearm while committing a felony and possession of a firearm on school property. He was found not guilty of the other count of using a firearm while committing a felony.
Both students were shot and wounded in the incident in the school’s parking lot. Sentencing is set for May 10.
