Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - For the third straight day, Richmond and much of Virginia are looking at the potential for flash flooding and heavy rain. In fact, heavy rains have falled today on the Northern Neck, with multiple inches hitting the ground.
NBC12 Meteorologist Andrew Freiden says the rains have been the result of a slow-moving cold front. Today, the front is basically on top of Richmond. On Thursday, storms stalled over Hanover, with multiple inches dropping on the Mechanicsville area.
The pattern should break on Saturday.
