Midlothian, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - A Richmond-based animal nonprofit is set to host a pet food giveaway on June 8.

Compassionate Animal Project will host a pop-up food pantry at the Holiday Barn Pet Resorts’ Midlothian facility from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 8.


According to organizers, the animal welfare nonprofit will be giving out 13,000 meals for pets, including more than 4,000 pounds of dog and cat food.

“Our team will be on-site to provide dog and cat food for pet parents in need,” Compassion Animal Project said in a statement.

Organizers added that the pet food pantry will be open all summer for individuals in need.
