Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield Police say they are investigating an incident where a man was struck and killed walking in the roadway along Jahnke Road. The accident occurred underneath Chippenham Parkway, and the driver stayed on scene.
This is the third pedestrian fatality since Saturday. The other two were hit and run accidents. Early Monday morning, a person was struck and killed along I-295 north in Hanover, as he was changing a tire. State Police are investigating. On Saturday in Henrico, a person was struck and killed in the West End at Three Chopt and Santa Rosa Roads.
Last week, in Richmond, a man was struck and killed walking near VCU, when an accident spilled onto the sidewalk.
