Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The metro Richmond area has moved back to a low Community Transmission Level for Covid-19. The localities of the area have been either medium or high since late spring.
In a low level, people are recommended to stay up to date on the vaccinations, and avoid contact with people suspected of having, or whom have, Covid-19. Community Level is determined not only by cases, but also the number of beds being used for Covid, as well as hospital admissions.
The Richmond-Henrico Health District is recommending people get the latest Covid booster, as the new booster takes into account the Omicron variants. They say it is especially important as we head into the colder months where there is likely to be more transmission.
