Chesterfield, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield Police have arrested a 27-year old Richmond woman for allegedly driving off from the Hopkins Road Wal-Mart with her boyfriend on the hood of the car. The boyfriend has life-threatening injuries.
Police say they were called to the store around 6:20 Thursday evening, after being told there was a man on the hood of a car screaming about calling 9-1-1. When officers arrived, they say they did not find anyone, but shortly afterwards, received reports of a man in the road a short ways away. The driver did not stay on scene.
Police arrested Margareth Nelson Meija Friday morning. She has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding and driving without a license. Police say the incident began as a domestic argument. They are still investigating the exact circumstances.
