Henrico, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The trial for the 15-year old accused of killed Lucia Bremer, 13, in March of 2021 has been delayed. The Henrico Commonwealth's Attorney, Shannon Taylor, confirms a neuropsychological evaluation has been requested. The trial had been scheduled to start July 11th.
Bremer was shot and killed in March 2021 as she walked with a younger friend on a path near Mills Godwin High School. The teen accused was originally going to be tried in the juvenile system, but a hearing in December reversed that decision. It was also revealed during that hearing that the teen had suffered numerous traumas in his life, and also likely had unspecified mental health issues.
There will now be a status hearing in July instead.
