Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Governor Ralph Northam (D) says if Covid trends continue in the right direction (cases down, vaccinations up) he is expecting to lift capacity and distancing restrictions on June 15th. The mask mandate, however, remains under evaluation.

Northam is still recommending people get vaccinated against Covid. Currently, 33% of Virginia adults have gotten at least one shot. Demand, however, is slagging, and the mass vaccination clinics in the Richmond area will be closing at the end of May.
