Richmond, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - State Senator Amanda Chase (R-Chesterfield) has lost her bid to have her censure overturned. A federal judge has ruled the targets of her suit, the State Senate and Senate Clerk Susan Scharr, had immunity.

Chase argued the censure violated her first amendment rights and she was looking to get her seniority restored and the vote expunged. The censure followed her attendance at the January 6th rally at the U.S. Capitol, and her comments after the attack that followed. Chase was not in Washington for the insurrection. Chase also has little Republican support among Senators because of arguments she has had with them.

Chase lost her bid to be the GOP nominee for Governor this week.
