Chesapeake, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - The Walmart in Chesapeake where six people were shot and killed right before Thanksgiving will reopen on April 19th. The store will also feature a memorial to the six employees killed. The shooter, a Walmart manager, killed himself.
Walmart says the memorial will be outdoors, and will feature six seating structures flanked by foliage. There will be one structure for each employee killed. The store itself has undergone an extensive re-design.
There are multiple lawsuits against Walmart over the shooting, alleging the company should have known the shooter, a store manager, was a concern.
