Chesterfield County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - A Chesterfield County apartment fire displaced 48 residents and injured five people, according to Chesterfield Fire and EMS.
The call to respond to the fire came in at 11:07 p.m. Fire crews arrived at the 2800 block of Pavillion Place at the Waterford Apartments to find a two-alarm fire in the building. The fire was marked under control at 12:29 a.m.
Four civilians and one firefighter suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene. Twelve apartments were damaged as a result of the fire
and 48 residents were displaced.
At this time, the origin of the fire is unknown. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Chesterfield Fire Marshal’s Office.
