Chesterfield Fire and EMS Crews Recover Body of Juvenile Male in Water at Swift Creek

Chesterfield County, Va. (Newsradiowrva.com) - Chesterfield emergency crews recovered the body of a teenage male who apparently went into the water at Swift Creek.

On Sunday, April 21, at around 3:50 p.m., Chesterfield police responded to the 2000 block of Swift Bluff Drive to assist rescue with a juvenile male that went underwater without resurfacing in Swift Creek.


A spokesperson for the Chesterfield Fire Department said Chesterfield Fire and EMS crews recovered a body from Swift Creek at around 7 p.m. on Sunday.

The juvenile male was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident is being investigated as a drowning. Anyone with information is asked to call the department at 804-748-1251.
